The Interrupting Ocelot

My name is Philip, and I’m a professional explorer who loves to picture all the animals in the world. I also pack my survival tool bag so I will be prepared for whatever will happen. I learned how to survive in the wild from my dad. Last time, I pictured all the animals in the African savannah. I didn’t get in danger from animals, and I pictured a lion; it was great.

Henry is my friend, and I met him in high school. He’s kind, shy, and a genius. He’s a researcher now and wants to study all the animal wildlife. He’s good at physical games like baseball, volleyball, and badminton. He carries a metal bat so he can be prepared for what’s dangerous ahead. He didn’t know how to survive in the animal rainforest; all he did was read books on animal research.

But today is the day when my friend Henry and I explore the Amazon rainforest.

“Why did you pack something big?” Henry said.

“What, did I bring too many in my bag?” I said to Henry.

“Dude, we are not gonna sleep in the Amazon Rainforest,” Henry said.

“Well, if we lose our track getting home, my survival tool bag will help us survive, and then we will find home and escape the forest,” I said.

“Okay, I trust you. I always bring my metal bat whenever I’m in danger.” Henry said.

“Okay, let’s go picture animals in the Amazon Rainforest,” I said.

We went to the Amazon rainforest. I pictured lots of animals: a toucan, a caiman, a poison dart frog, and the Amazon electric eel. Henry observes the animals and writes them in his research notebook. He’s also seen the poison dart frog; he knows that if you touch it, you will get poisoned.

After exploring, an ocelot interrupts us and threatens us with its claws.

“Philip, I think we should run,” Henry said.

“But Henry, that ocelot can catch you. I think I have to throw my food, then we should run,” I said.

Henry nodded, so I threw my meat sandwich, and the ocelot saw it and ate it. We ran away like scaredy cats.

After the incident, my friend and I got lost in the Amazon rainforest.

“That interrupting ocelot distracted us and lost our tracking from home,” Henry said.

“Don’t worry, my survival tool bag has a compass. I think the direction we left the road is north, so we should keep going north.” I said.

After we keep going north, suddenly, it’s almost night here. We decided to camp in the woods. Then, I set some traps when some prey animals came here. The first bait trap I placed was a snare. It’s very effective for dangerous animals. The second trap was the meat bait. I used my portable saw to chop down trees, then used a rope to make it a cage. I placed heavy rocks on the rope to secure the position, so when the ocelot takes the meat bait, I will grab the rock, and the cage will drop to the ground, preventing the ocelot from escaping. The third one is the metal cage bait. The instructions stated that it’s for tigers, cheetahs, and ocelots. You have to put the meat in the metal cage, and when the ocelot takes the bait, you will push the button and lock the cage so the ocelot can’t escape.

Meanwhile, Henry built a tent. He used my lighter and sticks to make a fireplace so he could cook the canned meat that I carried from my survival tool bag. After I planted all the traps, we ate the canned meat because we were starving. After eating, the interrupting ocelot came back and threatened us with its claws. The interrupting ocelot used its smell to track the meat and eventually led it to. But my friend and I were prepared.

I grabbed a beef jerky from my pocket to lure the ocelot, and I ran to the first trap. The ocelot got trapped in a snare. I thought the nightmare was over, but the ocelot uses its claws to break free. I lured the ocelot to the second trap. The ocelot eats the meat from the trap. I grabbed the rock and trapped the ocelot. The ocelot uses its claws again, but it doesn’t work; the ocelot knocks the walls and escapes. As I lure the ocelot from the third trap, the ocelot instead attacks Henry, but he gets prepared. He used his heavy bat and hit the ocelot’s head, and the ocelot was knocked out.

After the ocelot was knocked out, I said, “Wow, I didn’t know you’re good at baseball.”

” I think that for our adventure today, we need to escape the Amazon Rainforest,” Henry said.

I agree, so we ran in the north direction and escaped the Amazon Rainforest.

The next day, the interrupting ocelot wakes up and notices that the two guys are already gone. The ocelot got sad and went defeated.

Two days later, my friend and I went to the coffee shop and bought two lattes. After we had coffee, we discussed what had happened in the Amazon rainforest. I placed all the pictures that I took from the Amazon rainforest. On the other hand, Henry took his camera so he could put it in his research notebook. After that, we talked about all the adventures. It’s like an ocelot is the villain, but we survived and escaped the rainforest.
