Amphibia is one of the greatest cartoons ever to air on Disney. This award-winning show has a good story with unique and engaging characters. Additionally, it belongs to the top-liked movie genre.
Amphibia won “Best Character Design” for the armor of Marcy Wu’s pet, Joe Sparrow, and was nominated for “Outstanding Children’s Animated Program” and “Outstanding Achievement for Directing in an Animated Television/Media Production” by Annie Awards and more. Because of this, it gives off the impression that the crew of this series gave up a lot of time and dedication to this series.
Amphibia got nominated for some awards because of its story, which is about Anne’s accidental adventure into another world, where she got separated from her two besties, Sasha and Marcy. There, she explores the new world and befriends the Plantars, a frog family, who were instrumental in finding one of her lost friends (Season 1). In Season 2, Anne found her other missing friend while trying to find her way home. In Season 3, a war breaks out, and it’s during this conflict that each character’s growth as a person matters.
Also, the main reason why I’m still watching Amphibia is because of the characters—along with how it’s going to end. Some of the characters in this story are nerdy, smart, relatable, adventurous, brave, quirky, ridiculous, funny, and creative. The personalities of these characters are everything you need to keep you hooked on the story.
The top four box-office genres are adventure, action, drama, and comedy. Amphibia has all of these and more. Physical, dry, and dumb humor make us laugh while also easing the intense aspects. The adventure, sci-fi, talking frog people, awesome power-stones, friendship, backstabbing, and awesome anime scenes (did I mention the explosions?)- are some unique things some people will like. And when you go back to old cartoons and watch the ones today- you will be really satisfied with how our animation evolved. So, why not watch one of Disney’s best?
Amphibia is a great show that you should be watching because of its great story, the inviting and unique characters, the genre that’s out of this world- which helped it win awards and nominations.
