Should Students Go to School Early?

Do you ever wake up at 5:00 am in the morning and wonder why school can’t start in the afternoon? Most schools start classes at around 7 to 8 am and this has been the ideal system for years. However, as time goes by, more and more students as well as parents have been requesting schools to adjust their school hours. Here are some arguments that are for and against students waking up early to go to school.

Firstly, the brain functions best in the morning, when you’ve had a good night’s sleep, allowing us to focus better on our academics. However, not everyone gets enough sleep and you have no choice but to go to school tired and unable to focus, and it is also terrible for your immune system.

Secondly, waking up early lets you practice proper time management. This also allows you to have better control over your time and spend each morning without having to rush. Moreover, waking up early allows you to avoid extreme heat and unbearable traffic. Unfortunately, despite all these advantages, parents find it difficult to find time in their schedules to take their kids to school at such an early time. It is one of the many reasons why schools should consider starting classes a bit later.

Thirdly, starting school early gives students more time after classes to focus on their hobbies and extracurricular activities, which are essential for their personal growth. On the other hand, waking up early leaves most students tired and drained by the end of the day.

In conclusion, going to school early helps students make the most of their brainpower and focus better in classes. Students are able to practice proper time management and have more time for their extracurricular activities. Overall, going to school early sets up students for academic success and a balanced lifestyle full of fun and growth.
