A Letter to Mamu

Dear Mamu,

Hello, hola, bonjour! My name is Khyl, and what makes me unique is that I love watching movies—whether they’re Korean or not, everything is fine with me!

I also like visiting different places and studying! Visiting various places allows me to bond with my family, making new, memorable, and fun memories with them. For me, studying isn’t just about learning and exploring new things; it’s also about meeting new people and becoming friends with them.

I am meticulous about my appearance when going to public places, making sure that I look good in front of people, both those I know and don’t. Being diligent in my school projects is always a part of me; giving my whole day to finish them, just to make sure they look good and creative. I am loquacious when I am comfortable with the people around me, often saying whatever I think about something, whether it is funny or weird. I make sure to share it with my family and friends.

One thing I enjoy about Bubots is how the activities from the lessons are challenging me, making me think harder to answer them. In writing, one of my strengths is thinking and coming up with a lot of ideas about certain topics that I’m interested in. My weakness is wordiness because I tend to repeat ideas. Through my strengths and weaknesses, I realize that I need to improve my writing skills.

Mamu, one way you can help me succeed is by giving me advice on how I can improve my writing and vocabulary and by suggesting particular books I can read. I can help myself succeed in English lessons by practicing my writing every day and reading more to enrich my knowledge.

Kind regards,
Khyl
