Lost Things

It’s normal to lose things

But the janitor and the librarian are the kings of losing things

They’d search in the sea and Beijing

Normally they’d also sing,

“I would like to search things only in spring

Because it is the best time to search things.”

So they went to outer space with wings,

They also went to a cat’s stomach with slings;

And will try everything,

Also will do printing

Posters of everything

Of things they lost and slings they lost.

One day they saw their things,

Hidden with an animal with wings;

Had a sharp eye and loved to collect things,

It was a crow, and crows love shiny things,

Like rings and other shiny things.

They did not shoo the crow away because it’s terrifying,

So they had to act fast to get their things.

They tied the crow with strings,

And go get all of their things.

Also free, the crow who was in strings

Began to sing:

“I will try harder and smarter to search my things and slings.”

Nesdeline Jill C. Ducusin

Hi, my name is Nesdeline Ducusin! You can call me Dela for short. I live in the Philippines. My hobbies are reading, drawing, and dancing ballet, but my top favorite hobby is reading. I started reading when my sister pleaded, and as I started, I enjoyed it. I started to collect many, many books till our bookshelf no longer fit them. This is my second time making a poem. The first one I made is Adventures in My Dreams.
