Arild and the Moon

Arild and the Moon

Arild was about to take a nice nap, but a random ladder popped up in front of him.
“Should I climb this ladder?” It won’t be that bad if I…”
“No, I shall not.”
“But…”
Arild started climbing the ladder, thinking about what could be at the top.
When he reached the top, he saw a batch of clouds. He went through the first batch of clouds, the second, the third, and the last. Arild saw a moon.
All of a sudden, the moon spoke.
“Hello there! My name is Tori.”
“H-he-hello,” Arild said.
“Come and sit on me like a chair. It’s ok!”
This is a dream come true for Arild. He has always wanted to go to the moon with a flag and some books, but the problem is that he doesn’t have a flag or some books; all he has is a backup blanket.
“Don’t worry!” Tori said. “I will bring you some books and a flag.”
Then Tori started to turn brighter until Arild realised three books were on his lap.
“What a surprise! Books somehow appear on my lap!” Arild said.
“See, I’m magical!” Tori said.
One book is about a princess and a pea, another is about a girl and three bears, and the last one is about a princess named Cinderella.
Arild opened one book and started reading it. It was so much fun!
When Arild got tired, he climbed the ladder and said goodbye to Tori.
Since then, whenever Arild takes a nap, he always visits the moon/tori.
“I’m glad I have someone like you!” Arild said.
“Me too,” Tori said happily.
