Dear Ava,
It hit me with a big bang. The realization of my mistake left me lying in bed. What was I supposed to do? I can’t fix the past, so I’m now stuck in my thoughts. Oh, dearest Ava, I’m so sorry. What am I supposed to do without you? Without you, the world has stopped. My life wasn’t the same. When you left, you took the part of my heart that made me happy. Your sweet smile always brightened up my day, and the warmth of your laughter never left my mind. I made a mistake, and now you’re gone.
How could I have left you in the middle of the road? I’m so stupid. I knew that the truck was coming our direction, but I didn’t think to pull you out of the way. I was so selfish to only move myself out of the way. Oh Ava, if you can feel me, please forgive me. I can’t believe I only realised the outcome after it happened. I’m so very sorry. Because of me, you left your family and friends behind. That one simple mistake will haunt me for the rest of my life. I love you.
But just promise me one thing: don’t haunt my family. After all you have gone through, I am now aware that you have the power to haunt all you want. Please, please, please leave my family alone. Especially my little sister. You know she gets scared easily. You can haunt me; I know I deserve it. You can haunt anyone in the world, just not my family. You can even haunt a person who might read this by accident. So if you’re not Ava and you are reading this, she might come for you. All of those people, just not my family, please.
So goodbye, my love. I will miss you.
Love,
Felix
