Vietnam is a great country that is located in Southeast Asia. 

It is widely known for its amazing floating markets on top of the water and beautiful beaches! Did you know that Vietnam’s national animal is a water buffalo?

 

Where can you shop in Vietnam?

Vietnam is a beautiful cultural place, but when it comes to shopping, go to Ho Chi Minh City to find the biggest mall in Vietnam called Lotte Mall Westlake. Other famous shops like AEON Mall, Vincom Mall, or simple shopping marts can be found in many parts of it. Awesome floating markets like Cai Rang and Phong Dien Floating Market are known for their variety of restaurants that appear in the malls and the number of shops and stores that can contain some things that can only be found in Vietnam.

What attractions will you see?

In Vietnam, there are a lot of tourist attractions that you can come across and enjoy. You can go to temples, museums, and even theme parks! Temples are not just a place of worship or a cute background for photos. They are very important in Vietnamese culture and can be shown in very good-looking ways. For centuries, people have visited places like the Temple of Literacy, Lady Buddha, and the National Vietnamese Temple to see the beauty of nature and praise. You can go to lots of water parks, like Dam Sen Water Park, Aquatopia Water Park, and lots more!

What are the cultural traditions and festivals they celebrate?

Vietnamese people celebrate different traditions and festivals in their country. They have festivals like the Mid-Autumn festival, the Perfume Pagoda festival, the Hue festival, and lots more that other countries don’t. In the Mid-Autumn festival, which is celebrated on the 14th and 15th days of Lunar New Year, people go to this bright festival filled with lanterns and lights everywhere with an awesome lion dance. The amazing Perfume Pagoda festival is the most popular pilgrimage site in the country so they made this festival for the pilgrims so they could pray for a prosperous new year. Lastly, the Hue festival is one of the major festivals and only happens every 2 years. You play games and do performances and cultural events that also include instruments and songs.

Tip: To greet people in Vietnam, say “Xin chào” because it actually means both hello and goodbye in Vietnamese.
