Formal Letter | School Rules

Learning how to write a formal letter is a valuable life skill that children must learn. They’ll be using it in school (from primary to college), when applying for jobs or creating business proposals, and even for other purposes like writing complaint letters, asking for and giving recommendations, and a host of others.

This is why here in Bubots, we introduce formal letter writing in our basic and intermediate levels. Below is a sample formal letter written by one of our intermediate-level students, Ma. Venice Andreia M. Ubaldo. Happy reading!

Dear Parents,

These rules will be for your child to follow during classes and throughout the school year.

It’s important for the students not to walk dash around school

Students are not allowed to run in school because we prevent them from slipping, getting hurt, and distracting other students. If they run in class or the school hallways, they will be warned. This rule must be followed to prevent someone from getting hurt or being a distraction.

Be a sweet companion to others

The students must be friendly so they won’t cause any trouble. They must not fight against one another, or else we will inform the parents about this attitude. We do not support the idea of violence in our school.

Make sure to have the items for school

All students must have all necessary school supplies (like pencils, erasers, pens, paper, coloring, and notebooks). They can share some of their items if they don’t have them, but make sure they give them back to prevent the loss of items and supplies found in class.

Always keep track of time

Students must always check what time it is for school. All students should be here at 8:00 am or 9:00 am. If they are late, they might miss something mentioned in class. We encourage them not to be late. These rules also must be followed to make sure we start the class right on time.

Always wear the accurate uniform to school

We will send a uniform for your children. They must wear it every time they go to school. For the girls, we have a shirt, a skirt or pants, a tie, and shoes. For the boys, we have a shirt, pants or shorts, a tie, and shoes. They can wear socks with their shoes if they want.

It’s vital not to bring playthings or electric gadgets like mobile phones, to school

The teachers don’t allow bringing toys because we prevent people from getting their feet hurt and getting the floor messy. We also don’t allow electronic devices like mobile, iPads, or radios because they might cheat by getting answers, or when the teacher is gone, they play games or music that distracts the other students in class.

Healthy foods are fine to bring in school for break time

Healthy foods such as fruits and vegetables are allowed to be eaten by students. Students can bring healthy foods such as apples, oranges, bananas, mangoes, salad, etc. We only allow healthy foods because we care for the students’ health. I recommend following this rule because this rule is to make your child healthy.

Junk foods are bad to bring to school

Junk foods like chocolates and sweets are banned. We care for your child’s health. If this rule isn’t followed, your child will be sick, ill, or puking, so please follow this very well. If your child doesn’t like junk food, that’s good. If not, sorry, but your children can’t bring it to school.

These are all of the things your children must follow to be good students. I hope your children follow all of these rules and also follow the teacher.

Yours sincerely,

Miss Venice (Head Teacher)
