A Special Day at the Beach (the story before “A-Hard-to-Find-Dinner”)

That morning, as I got up, I already knew it would be a great day. I packed my bag with important things I would need for the trip and thought about all the great things we were about to do that day. I thought about arriving at the magnificent San Fabian Beach. I knew it was a long drive, but I had my cousins there to keep company. Finally, when everyone was packed and ready, we set out to the seashore to cool ourselves down from the tropical weather.

Since it was a long drive and we woke up early, I fell asleep getting there. As we got nearer to the beach, the bright rays of the sun woke me up, while my cousins stayed asleep. After the long drive, we finally reached San Fabian Beach. All my cousins were awake and were very excited. As soon as we got out of the car, the humid air surrounded my skin, and the sound of the waves crashing filled my ears. We found a place where the blazing sun wouldn’t burn us and a karaoke machine so we could sing.

After enjoying our cabana and testing the karaoke machine, we all changed to our swimwear and headed down to the beach. On the way, the soft sand stuffed in between my toes and the warm, tangy air almost melted my tongue. As soon as I dipped my toes into the water, I felt like stepping into the best hot tub in the world. When my body was fully in the water, I was as peaceful as can be. But just when I thought that everything was calm, a wave took me by surprise, and walls of water swept me like I was just a piece of paper. It knocked me off my feet!

Later, after that first wave, I was jumping up and down over the waves so I wouldn’t get swept away. It was so much fun, and I felt like I was flying. Then, not long after, me and my cousins went on a banana boat and sailed to the deep end of the water. Some of us jumped in, and the rest stayed on the boat. Once it was done, we headed back to the shore, but without any warning at all, a strong, big wave tipped over the boat, throwing us into the water. It was so funny that we were not expecting that.

Eventually, it was time to go home, but we didn’t want the fun to end. So we did some karaoke and sang so many different songs. It was very loud, but we didn’t really care because we were having the time of our lives. We had to change into our clothes and head back home. So we turned off the karaoke machine and packed all the things we had. It was almost dinner, and the drive home was 3 hours, so we checked Google Maps to find a nearby place to eat.
