A Special Day In My Life

One memorable day was my 11th birthday. My family and I went to Docklands, which is an area near the city. We went to a mall there called District Docklands. I’ve gone to Docklands for my birthday before, and other times we went to the city, which was why I wanted to go there again.

The drive was around 40 minutes. When we got there, the first place we went was Artvo, a place with 3D art and illusions, so it looks like you’re actually in the painting. It had different rooms for different art, and every wall had paintings on it. All the paintings were realistic and really nice.

After Artvo we went to Carl’s Jr, a fast food restaurant, for lunch. There were only a few customers when we came in. The food there tasted good, especially the burgers, but the fries were a bit salty. Then we walked to the O’Brien Icehouse, an indoor ice skating rink. It was a short walk, less than 5 minutes.

When we arrived, we rented ice skates and got supporters for my younger siblings. We still had to wait for the ice resurfacer to clean and smoothen the skating rink, so I watched the hockey game on the other rink. There were also a lot of figure skaters practicing there. After that, we got on the ice and skated for a while. The rink had different colored lights, and there was also a big screen with advertisements. I skated for a few rounds and took breaks to rest. Then, we returned the ice skates and supporters. Although I don’t skate much, it was still fun.

After leaving the ice rink, we went to find a place to eat. By then, it was already getting dark, and restaurants were getting crowded. We finally found a place called Fukutontei Ramen. We waited in line for the food. I had rice, pork, and noodles. The food was overall good, and I would definitely go there again. My 11th birthday was a fun and memorable day, and I enjoyed it.
