Aeroplanes have been around since 1903 and have been very useful. One of the primary uses of planes is transportation. Although planes are more expensive and not as easy to ride as other types of transportation, there are still many benefits to riding a plane.
Planes are much faster than other types of vehicles. The fastest plane was NASA’s X-43 experimental plane, which went at 11,854 kilometres per hour, and the fastest commercial plane, which went at 1,130 kilometres per hour (km/h). But the average commercial plane goes around 850 km/h (cruising speed).
Planes are also suitable for long-distance travel. The world’s longest nonstop flight was between New York and Singapore, around 15,349 kilometres. It is suitable for long distances because it can go over any land or water much faster.
Airplanes are also safer than other types of transport. According to research by Harvard University, flying can be safer than driving a car. The odds of getting in an accident on a flight are 1 in 1.2 million, while the odds of getting in a car accident are around 1 in 5,000. Additionally, there is a lot of security before boarding, making travelling by place a safer option.
Riding on planes can also be convenient. There is already a pilot who controls the plane and the cabin crew, who do things like serve food. This is a lot more convenient than when you’re on a road trip and have to drive, refuel, etc. Your luggage is also taken care of. It can also be comfortable unless there are a lot of passengers.
These are the benefits of travelling by aeroplane. Although expensive, there are many benefits to riding one. They allow faster, more efficient transportation, a comfortable ride, and safety.
